Quake Live is a free to play first-person-shooter based on Quake III Arena by id Software. Unlike it's predecessor, Quake live is a web browser based game and can be downloaded via a web browser plugin. Quake Live is multi-platform and can be run on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. There are some graphical improvements over Quake III Arena such as: improved HDR lighting and shadows.
The game modes in Quake Live include: Capture The Flag, Clan Arena, Duel, Free For All, Team Deathmatch and more. To play, just download the plugin and sign up at id Software.
